HUES is an artist and producer from Michigan, currently active in the Ann Arbor area. Taking influence from a myriad of musical sources, as well as movies and TV shows, his dusty drums and creative chops provide a unique soundscape for a variety of collaborations. He is a member of the production collective HOUSE with fellow producers iSight, Mudai, jayjay!, Soulo, Mai’Seo, Stance, and Evans, releasing beats on Tape 2 under the collective. He also was a member of Korban Baxter’s MadMan Studios, collaborating frequently with its members until its disbandment in 2023.
HUES been behind the boards for years, dropping his first full-length project titled Heavy Upon Every Soul in 2021 with its deluxe soon to follow. Soon to follow was I Am Not a Crip, a narrative-focused EP with Philadelphia's Korban Baxter. He followed that up with two more EPs, Cocky Remixes and BEYOND, before his next big project, Greetings From Tombstone. LOOSE ENDS, Vol. 1 is his latest project, assembling beats from various collaborations with rappers. Since then, many singles and collaborations have been dropped in anticipation of his soon-to-come third LP.
In recent times, HUES has been taking a backseat and building a collection of placements, with notable tracks including “Champagne Showers” (Ski featuring Fashawn), “Panic at the Disco” (Ski & Lojii), and “Punchin Clocks” (Nuri featuring New Villain & Emyhr Rhymes). Additional credits include Sick Rick, Fli Fetti, Korban Baxter, Gold Midas, Cochise MC, Hike J, Jeff Staples, and more.
HUES is streaming on all platforms, including YouTube and Bandcamp, under the same name (all caps on Apple, lowercase on Spotify - no idea why). You can most regularly find him @huesproductions_ on Instagram
